Andrew Egyapa Mercer, the MP for Sekondi and Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has directed the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park’s Director to start upkeep on the site right away.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, he made a working visit to the park after observing a few maintenance gaps and issued the command.
This upkeep will include, among other things, hiring commercial cleaning services to keep the building and its grounds consistently clean and preserved, upgrading the irrigation system, painting the walls on a regular basis, and acquiring extra mowers to make sure the lawns are maintained in good condition.
The Minister is steadfast in her resolve to put in great effort to safeguard Ghana’s tourist infrastructure assets for future generations.
