Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dormaahene In an effort to give his people access to substantial employment prospects, Dr. Agyemang Badu II has revealed plans to attract mining corporations into his traditional lands.
This project has the potential to improve the region’s economic climate and promote development and prosperity.
Dr. Agyemang Badu II emphasized in a video posted on X that he would only accept a 50% profit sharing for the Ghanaian government, guaranteeing that the mining operations have a significant positive impact on the country’s growth. It is anticipated that this profit-sharing structure will fund numerous development projects and make a significant contribution to the national economy.
In addition, Dr. Agyemang Badu II highlighted possible advancements in infrastructure and education while promising his people a better future. “If we are able to secure a deal with these mining companies, our community will witness a significant transformation,” he stated. “The revenue generated will be invested in enhancing our educational facilities and infrastructure, providing a better quality of life for all.”
He expressed his worries, saying, “I saw you haven’t chosen a running partner yet, and even if you have, I haven’t heard. Sometimes a certain area tries to establish that choosing your running buddy must come exclusively from there.”
The Dormaahene emphasized on the ramifications of such a policy, stressing its polarizing nature and its ability to alienate voters from regions not represented in the selection process. In order to win over voters across the country, he emphasized the significance of inclusivity in candidate selection.
“But I don’t see it that way,” he cautioned. Please remember that there are many people in the other regions, and if you concentrate solely on them, then only they will vote for you and the rest of us will vote against you.
The Dormaahene, who is from the Bono region himself, argued in favor of recognizing deserving individuals from his area and emphasized their suitability for running mate.
