For the second time in three weeks, members of the Locked-up Investment Holders Forum are picketing outside the Finance Ministry.
They are requesting that the money they have locked up at NDK Financial Services and three other deposit-taking establishments be released.
When Deputy Finance Minister Stephen Amoah received the organization’s petition on May 15, the group had intended to meet with him. Amoah had promised them a meeting to discuss their concerns.
But the meeting never happened, so the group met again at NDK Financial Services.
However, recent events forced the irate patrons to picket again.
Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, the group’s convenor, stated that “there is a chance for them [the Finance Ministry] to still meet us” at the demonstration on Wednesday.
