On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will reconvene for its third session.
This was stated in a notice dated Monday, May 27 from the Office of Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The meeting will start in Parliament House at 10:00 in the afternoon.
On Friday, March 22, Parliament adjourned for the Easter holiday.
Speaker Bagbin, however, called a meeting of the Parliament on Friday, May 17, in response to a request from the Majority Caucus to discuss pressing matters of state.
“In accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana, I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, hereby give notice that, on Tuesday, the 11th day of June 2024 at ten O’clock in the forenoon at parliament house, Accra, the Third Meeting of the Fourth session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall commence,” Mr. Bagbin stated in his announcement of the meeting’s start time.
