The special election pertaining to the 2024 presidential and legislative elections is scheduled on December 2, 2024, according to the announcement made by Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
The declaration was made by Mrs. Mensa on May 28 in Accra during a meeting with the national executive of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and members of the security services.
She announced, “On Monday, December 2, 2024, special voting will take place in all 275 constituencies across the nation.”
Personnel from the Ghanaian Armed Forces, National Security, Immigration Service, National Fire Service, National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), and Information Services Department are covered.
Mrs. Mensa addressed worries about faults in the results collation process and stated that they would “use Excel, plus more rigorous measures to ensure the initial mistakes and hiccups are not experienced henceforth.”
