The Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrissu, has stated that the next National Democratic Congress administration will review Ghana’s Labour Act to deal with the 24-hour economy policy proposed by John Dramani Mahama.
Flag bearer of the opposition NDC, John Mahama, has been trumpeting a 24-hour economy that he believes will breathe fresh life into the ailing Ghanaian economy. But this decision has received varied opinions from individuals, organisations, and the business community.
The former Minority leader who was addressing the chiefs and elders of Sonyo during the “Deng” festival in the Savanah Region, emphasized the key aspect of the proposal, clarifying that the 24-hour economy aims to streamline and expedite the processing of essential services.
In a response to some of the developmental challenges stated by the chiefs and elders, the Tamale South lawmaker while expressing dangers of a community without telephone network connectivity, assured to use his office to fix the network issue immediately.
