A listener of Joy FM described his terrifying experience of having his oxygen equipment, worth over $8,000, ruined by the recent dumsor power outage.
Due to the erratic power supply to the fishery, Kofi from Lashibi stated he would need to find a new source of income as the costly machine he was using to pump oxygen for his fish blew up.
He claims that the continuous power outage is having a negative effect on businesses and resulting in losses.
A disturbed Kofi bemoaned, “Apart from the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar, I have been losing numerous jobs due to this persistent load shedding,” in an interview with Joy News’ Super Morning Show on Tuesday, April 23.
I am struggling greatly because my business is struggling and my $8000 oxygen generator that I use for fish recently broke three days ago.
Kofi emphasized that the situation is bad for the entire nation and that the Energy Ministry needs to take accountability.
He remarked, “We need to hold these people accountable because they are ruining people’s lives, causing businesses to fail, and we look up to them.”
“The blame should be on those people who are supposed to act and they are not acting,” he said, expressing his dissatisfaction. I’m speaking out of frustration because someone’s stupidity cost me a $8000 machine.
“We don’t have anyone to confront our vice president and tell him to go repair the problem; instead, he is traveling the country campaigning for election.”Leave this place with your campaign,” What kind of nation are we operating in?” he continued.
He said, “We have a vice president in office who declared that he is the running mate. Akufo-Addo did everything in his power to secure your nomination, therefore he should apply his wisdom to fixing the country.
