KILMARNOCK CONFIRM DYER APPOINTMENT
Alex Dyer has signed a two-year contract as permanent Kilmarnock manager having been in interim charge following Angelo Alessio’s departure in December.
Dyer told the club’s website: “I’m extremely proud to continue as manager of this wonderful football club and I thank the Board of Directors for the faith they’ve shown me.
“My passion and desire to lead this club and team has been strengthened during these recent months away from football and I’m looking forward to start working with the team again as we prepare for the season ahead.
“I’ve always enjoyed a close bond with the fans and I’ve been blown away by how they’ve continued to show their support during the shutdown.
“This season, starting out without supporters in the stadium, will be unlike any other that I’ve ever known but that continued sense of unity can help carry us through until we’re able to reunite at Rugby Park.”

SANCHO CONSIDERING CITY RETURN
Jadon Sancho would consider making a return to Manchester City as he fears being left in limbo if he stays at Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
The England international has been heavily linked with a big-money move away from Dortmund this summer, with Manchester United in pursuit while Liverpool and Chelsea have kept tabs on him.
Dortmund are refusing to lower Sancho’s £100m asking price, and United are not expected to go that high amid the current economic climate.
The Sun claim that with a move to United now unlikely, Sancho has told close friends that he would be open to returning to former club City if Pep Guardiola’s side showed interest in him.

NORWICH CLOSE TO SIGNING MUMBA
Norwich City are set to sign Sunderland teenage defender Bali Mumba in a £500,000 deal, according to the Daily Mail.

CHELSEA LOOKING TO GENERATE FUNDS
Chelsea are looking to offload £160m-worth of big-name flops to help fund Frank Lampard’s first spending spree for Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell, according to The Sun.
Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater, Michy Batshuayi and Victor Moses have all been made aware that they do not have a future at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard.
Deals for Havertz and Chilwell would push the club’s summer outlay close to £250m, meaning the costs must be offset by the departures of those on the fringes of the squad.

Manchester United are expected to grant academy product Henderson permission to see out the elongated 2019/20 Premier League campaign at Sheffield United ahead of its resumption on June 17, with discussions ongoing over where his future lies next season.

Clotet reached agreement with the club a week ago, that his tenure would cease at the end of this season, with a statement saying he had been allowed to leave “to explore other coaching opportunities.”
Clough resigned as Burton Albion manager four weeks ago, for a fresh start in football, and to reduce the cost burden on Burton, who have been hit hard by lost revenue because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Birmingham are in no rush to appoint Clotet’s successor, who still has nine games left to ensure the club’s Championship status. They are eight points above the relegation places.02:05
UTD, REAL FAILED IN CHERKI BID
Manchester United and Real Madrid failed to sign Lyon wonderkid Rayan Cherki, according to the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas.
He told Telefoot: “He’s undoubtedly a player who will go to the highest level. That’s why we did everything we could to sign him.
“The two clubs that were interested when we won his faith were Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund’s head of football Sebastian Kehl says he expects Jadon Sancho to remain at the club next season and dismissed links between the 20-year-old and Liverpool.
He told Sky Germany: “We had a few issues with Jadon in the last week, but we all cleared them up. He played a great game afterwards and does a good job. He is incredibly important.
“At the moment we continue to assume that he will play and stay at Borussia Dortmund next season. Regarding the rumours [around Liverpool], I can say that there is nothing to it.”

Angel Gomes’ future at Manchester United is set to be decided in the next two weeks, the Manchester Evening News reports.

There is, however, a long-term contract on offer and United would reportedly like Gomes to stay with the club.23:14
AUBA: NOTHING DECIDED ON CONTRACT
The 30 year-old Gabon international, currently the Gunners’ captain, will enter the final 12 months of his current contract next season and speculation has linked him with a move to Inter Milan and Barcelona in recent months.
Speaking to Telefoot, Aubameyang said: “”Recently I have not received an offer to extend. But, of course, we have had exchanges with the club for a fair few months now.
“They know very well why so far nothing has happened. They have the keys. It is up to them to do their work and, after that, we will see how things go.
It is a turning point in my career and I will be very frank with everyone, it will be of course a very difficult decision to make because I have still not decided. It is possibly the most important decision of my career. To be clear, nothing has been decided.”

Manchester United will sacrifice Andreas Pereira to land Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 23-year-old Dutchman is also reportedly being looked at by Real Madrid.
With Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay fit, plus the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and Fred’s improvement, Pereira’s opportunities may be limited, meaning United could cash in on the Brazilian.18:45

Arsenal are hoping to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles for £20m to fund a new contract for Pierre–Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Mkhitaryan has been on loan at Roma, where he has found better form than in England, and Roma will reportedly look to make profit off Dutchman Kluivert, son of Netherlands legend Patrick.
He joined Roma from Ajax in 2018 for 17m euros, but the Italian side are looking to make double that back.

CAVANI, SILVA TO LEAVE PSG THIS SUMMER
Cavani, 33, and Silva, 35, are both out of contract in June but will remain with the club until the season is fully completed as PSG are in the Champions League quarter-finals.
“It was a really difficult decision to take. [Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani] are players who have had a big impact on this club’s history,” Leandro told Le Journal du Dimanche.
“You always wonder if you should carry on down the same path together or if it’s better to avoid a scenario where you’ve stayed for one year too many.
“It’s been such a wonderful journey, but we’re coming to the end. We had to make a logical decision, both in financial terms and also considering the next generation of players coming through.
“Maybe it’s the wrong decision, I don’t know. There’s never a perfect moment. The Champions League is still on the agenda and the plan is to remain in the competition with them until the end of August.”
Leandro also stated he wants Thomas Meunier, Layvin Kurzawa and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to remain at the club and says that there will be discussions over the next couple of months.

Keith Andrews and Don Goodman believe Chelsea are in a good position to secure the signature of Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz.
‘POGBA WILL STAY AT MAN UTD’
“I think he will stay,” Januzaj told Het Nieuwsblad. “Paul and I are still close. We have known each other since we were kids when we were in the United academy. Our families are also friends and we all keep in touch. That will never change.”
The winger is now at Real Sociedad and says he was not given a fair chance at United under Louis Van Gaal
“Ah, Louis van Gaal. I really should not be defending myself against him, I think the statistics say it all,” he said.
“Every time I made the difference with an assist or a goal, I was always out of the team for the next match. It was the same with Memphis (Depay).
“He does not speak the truth if he says that he gave us plenty of opportunities, it’s as simple as that. Fortunately, there are plenty of people at Manchester United who do value my talent.”

BRITTON STEPS DOWN FROM SWANS ROLE
Former midfielder Leon Britton has stepped down from his role as Swansea’s sporting director.
The 37-year-old said he wanted to spend some time out of the game, having been involved with the Swans behind the scenes following his retirement from playing in May 2018, first as an advisor to the board and then as sporting director from September last year.
“I’m obviously disappointed to leave,” Britton said on the club website. “But the time is right for me to take a break, spend some quality time with my family and enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a ‘normal’ life.
“From the time I joined Chelsea as an eight-year-old, moved to Arsenal at nine and became a full-time apprentice with West Ham at 16, football has dominated my life.
“I was always going to take some time out when I finished playing, but Trevor (Birch, chairman) asked me to help him in his restructure of the football side of the club when he arrived; a task that escalated following the departure of Graham Potter to Brighton.
“I said I would help because I love the club, always will, but it was always my intention to step back once things had settled down, which it has following the arrival of Steve (Cooper, head coach) and Andy (Scott, head of recruitment).”23:38
MAN UTD TO WIN VEN DE BEEK RACE?
Ronald de Boer has suggested Manchester United could beat Real Madrid to the signing of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
“When you hear these clubs pass by, I know your heart will beat faster,” De Boer, a coach in Ajax’s youth set-up, told Fox Sports. “If Real Madrid again decide not to report themselves at Donny, then I can understand it if he decides to go to Manchester United instead.
“On the one hand, I understand that Real Madrid are hesitating a bit. Another club could think, ‘hey, an interesting player, maybe we can get him for a little less’. For example, Manchester United.
“Solskjaer has indicated that he wants to go in a new direction and wants players who are humble, their heart is with the club, a team player. I think he is tired of the Pogba’s running around. He wants players like Donny van de Beek.”

SAUL: ATLETICO IS ‘HOME’
Saul Niguez insists Atletico Madrid remains his home for the time being but refused to completely rule out leaving the club in the future.
The 25-year-old Spain international has been heavily linked with Manchester United but has revealed he has not been in contact with any club.
“I see things on Instagram or in newspapers which you publish, but I haven’t heard anything from any club,” he told Radio Marca. “I have a long-term contract, which I signed because I want to stay here.
“I don’t have any problem staying here because my family are here, it’s my home. People say, ‘come out and deny it’, but then if you deny it and something happens, you look bad.
“I just stick to playing football and what has to happen will happen. I’m just focused on achieving Atletico’s target, which is to be in the top four, and then try to get the most desired target of the season.”

The 32-year-old follows captain Billy Sharp and vice-captain Oliver Norwood in committing his long-term future to the Blades ahead of the return of the Premier League.
“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be spending the next two years, so I’m over the moon to sign this extension and remain a part of this fantastic journey the club is on,” McGoldrick told the club’s website.
“This is a club that rewards and ties down those players that have contributed heavily to the success it’s enjoyed so I’m delighted the gaffer sees me in the same bracket as Billy, Ollie and before that Enda [Stevens] and Flecky [John Fleck].
“I’d like to thank the gaffer and the board for getting this sorted so quickly and smoothly. This is a strange and horrible time for everyone, in all walks of life, and it’s been tough. But the good news is coming back out of the club and I’m really pleased to have committed my future.”20:06
