Shatta Wale has taken to his Snapchat handle to react to our news that he is lying about making $65,000 so far on YouTube this year 2020.
Shatta Wale proclaimed during a call-in session on Sammy Flex’s Showbiz Daily TV show that YouTube has handed over $65,000 to him so far this year.
He further took to his Snapchat to post a screenshot of it to prove to the world and his fans at large that he meant what he said.
Celebrities Buzz after making a quick check noticed that he misquoted the figures, and we had no other option than to fact-check him.
Taking a close look at Shatta Wale’s YouTube account, his views and stats don’t simply make sense to make him earn $65,000 from January to June 2020.
Although YouTube pays quite a good amount of money for its content uploaders through the display of ads, Shatta’s overall views did not tally with the said amount of cash he made mention of.
Commenting on our fact-check on him, Shatta alleged that Angel Town (Manager of Sarkodie) and his artist (Sarkodie) are behind our team (an allegation which is baseless, untrue, and a bit funny).
He also fired shots at entertainment players who compared him to the likes of Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Samini, etc. by saying that Billboard’s recent ranking has proven them wrong after he bagged the number one spot to claim the most-watched artist in Ghana on their platform.
He reaffirmed that he is a ‘local champion’ with a massive international record.
Well, Wale is a rich and super talented artist who has changed the industry since his inception. However, we want to reaffirm that he lied about making $65,000 this year from YouTube per the views on his YouTube channel.
