Fred Drah, 53, was a pioneer worker for Pioneer food cannery at the port city of Tema. Later he got into the car hiring business using his lovely and dependable Opel Astra caravan car, which served him well until it grew old and had to sell it and buy a Pontiac Vibe. He has remained there in the hiring car business for the past 30years. Fred holds an HND as an Auto mobile technician Part 3, from Accra Poly Technique, now Accra Technical University.
He has also worked as a store keeper.
Fred is a covid-19 survivor and an ambassador among some 83 Ghanaians lucky to gain full recovery from the coronavirus attack. He is now known beyond the borders of Ghana and worldwide through the internet. He said he contracted the virus at the port from a colleague.
His work as a trader, suffered a huge set back as the port expansion project kicked in early 2017, slowing down his business in the following months and years.
When Nana Agyenim Boateng MD of the Cocoa Processing company and also chief of Amoaman in the Ashanti Region of Ghana visited Fred in his home at Afienya-Mataheko, (Near Prampram) , he met Fred, and his wife Mrs Peace Drah from Kpando in the Volta region, whom he has been married to for 35 years and their four beautiful children.
Fred hails from Sogakope also in the Volta region, and he says the virus is real and advised that people should be cautious and he will continue to preach that coronavirus is real and deadly, to alert Ghanaians and people around the world of its devastating form.
