The Cocoa Processing company (CPC), has donated a variety of immune booster products to Mr Frederick Drah, a trader at the Tema port, who through his daily trek to and from the port caught the deadly coronavirus. Mr Drah, 53 years, consequently spent 22 days at the Ga East Hospital before being treated and discharged.
The CPC team, dressed and covered with protective clothing and led by the Managing Director Nana Agyenim Boateng 1, Ekow Rhule, Head of Public Relations and CSR, Sales and Marketing Manager Nana Agyemang Ansong and others donated items including the now famous Victoria bucket, hand sanitizers, variety of chocolate drinks such as All Time cocoa powder, the popular Royale natural cocoa powder, Premium dark chocolate 70%, 80% and 90% brands respectively, and a sum of money to help Drah and his family go through these difficult times.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) Nana Agyenim Boateng, said Covid-19 is wreaking havoc and killing defenseless persons across the globe, and it is important for everyone to eat and drink food items that will build the human immune system to help repel the attack of the dangerous coronavirus.
He explained “everyone needs a strong immune system working at optimum level to be able to resist attacks by gems including viruses. Ghana’s cocoa already has what it takes to boost the immune system and help the body fight the virus”
He continued,’ in joining the fight initiated by government, to reduce the spread of the dangerous coronavirus, it is important that Mr Drah received immune boosters from CPC in these trying moments to help build a strong immune system”.
Nana Agyenim Boateng encouraged all Ghanaians to consume more of the Royale Natural Cocoa powder and other CPC cocoa products to keep safe and protected from coronavirus attacks and other infections.
Mr Fred Drah in receiving the items, thanked the CPC for coming to the aide of he and his family. He advised all Ghanaians to take the threat of the coronavirus serious and stay home for their own safety.
Nana Agyenim Boateng 1, Managing Director of Cocoa Processing Company, and also chief of Amoamang in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District, called on all Ghanaians to patronize the Royale Natural Cocoa Powder, drink and stay home and be healthy.
Currently one of the treatments under consideration in covid-19, is the use of inhaled Nitric oxide-Mescape. Polyphenol-rich cocoa induces release of Nitric oxide (NO)- a key endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF).
