Both the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have come under fire from Movement for Change leader Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen for impeding Ghana’s development.
He claimed that the political climate in Ghana is divided because of the actions of both parties.
“The divisiveness in our body politics driven by the duopoly of the two dominant parties, the NPP and NDC, has been a major destabilizing factor for progress in Ghana,” the former Trade and Industry Minister wrote in a post on X, the former Twitter.
Mr. Kyerematen emphasized that Ghana has the capacity to establish a government that is truly representative, do away with the existing “winner takes all syndrome,” and guarantee the continuation of government initiatives.
He went on to say that these measures would lessen the conceit that comes with having political influence and power in the country.
“Together, we can sculpt a brighter future for Ghana, where every voice is heard and every citizen is valued,” he stated.
