Host of Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, Captain Smart has confirmed that Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has apologized to him following disclosure that he did not curse as reports purported.
There were reports on several news websites indicating that Captain Smart had rained curses on the Minister for not being forthright with the people of Ghana in connection to monies paid to artistes who performed at the virtual concert.
He said “Today, I want to tell you something. I’ve been asked to hold my bomb on this issue, but there’s only one thing I want to tell you. Never try to rich yourselves with coronavirus pandemic. Why is the minister lying to Ghanaians and the artistes also denying receiving the money? God will punish you, and your punishment won’t be mild, you’ll suffer extremely”.
The reports did not sit down well with the Communications Minister who replied in similar fold raining curses on Captain Smart and his family and insisting that the government never paid any artiste that performed at the launch of the COVID-19.
But responding to the Minister on Adom FM monitored by REPORTGHANA.COM, Captain Smart insisted that he never insulted the Minister and it will be unlike him to insult a woman.
The Morning show host noted that the confusion emanated from GhanaWeb which gave misleading headline to the story and misled the public and the Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu. Captain disclosed that he’s spoken to the Minster who has apologized to him for the outburst indicating that she said she was misled by the Ghana Web publication
“Yesterday, I spoke to the Communications Minister and she apologized to me for using those unprintable words on me. She said she was misled by the caption given to the story by GhanaWeb and had to reply because of how she was infuriated.” He claimed on live radio
Captain Smart reiterated his calls on government and civil servants not to profiteer from the funds being raised and paid into COVID-19 Trust Fund.
